ABOUT THE EDITOR:
Alexa Hoffman
I currently live in New Mexico with my partner and our two cats, enjoying 80-degree days in March, green chile on everything and hot-air balloons in the early morning throughout the year. My life is about to change, though. We're moving to Manhattan to be closer to both of our families and for her to attend grad school. The difference in locations will be like night and day — no more warm winters and open spaces!
It's not my first time living on the East Coast; I studied English and biochemistry in college in Pennsylvania, graduating in 2002. Since then, I've worked as a newspaper reporter and editor and now I'm a manager in a company that focuses on content marketing, social media and PR. In my spare time, I edit for authors and publishing companies and do marketing/PR for another company — good thing I enjoy challenges! I write when I get the urge, but a hectic lifestyle (and sometimes writer's block) curtails that quite a bit.
My partner and I love to travel, especially outside of the U.S. I rock climb as much as possible — indoors, for now. Hiking, running and other outdoor activities keep me sane. Reading, doing crossword puzzles, watching movies and exploring the world around me fill in the sparse moments in-between everything else.
If you have any questions or are looking for a copyeditor, feel free to contact me at [email protected]. If you just want insight into my weird mind, follow me on twitter (@auth2b).
